Dohchay Movie Review – 3/5
Starring: Naga Chaitanya, Kriti Sanon
Direction: Sudheer Varma
Producer: B. V. S. N. Prasad
Music: Sunny M.R
Chandu (Naga Chaitanya) has chosen the profession of small time cheating for survival. During this journey, he gets a huge sum in a bag which belongs to local gangster Manikyam ( Posani). He spends all the money that he gets. When Manikyam finds the details about his money robbery, he kidnaps Chandu’s father and sister for demanding his money. How he is able to give the money back and what is the role of Kirti Sanon is the rest of the story.
Naga Chaintaya has improved his acting abilities and done fabulous job. Especially his action episodes are much admirable. Kirti is cute on screen and delivered clever job. Bramanandam is the major highlight of the film as he entertainer audiences with his witty nature of acting. Ravi Babu, Saptagiri are okay. Posani is another key role in the film, he has done convincing job.
After watching Swamy Ra Ra, there are great expectations on Dohchay. Of course, Sudheer Varma executed the concept in marvelous way to convince audiences. But there are few scenes which look repetitive and remind Swamy Ra Ra. Especially, he is hurry in narration of the story than going steadily. He used artistes like Bramanandam and Ravi Babu in a right way. There are few flaws in screenplay which misfired but overall, it is okay to watch on screen.
Music is mediocre. Songs are not so situational and forgettable. Dialogues are neat. Cinematography is appreciable as he captured beautiful locales with care. Direction is fine and production values are rich.
Dohchay is enjoyable ride
