After taking considerable gap, Raghava Lawrence has directed comedy horror thriller Ganga. He had helmed two films earlier both are hit. Now, Ganga was released today and there are lots of expectations on this film as it was released in Tamil and running successfully. Tapsi Pannu and Nithya Menon are the leading ladies in this film. Let’s check how it was shaped.
Raghava (Lawrence) is a cameraman in regional channel. Nandini ( Tapsi) is a program director in this same channel. In order to increase its rating, they decided to shot a program based on ghosts and spirits. So they set out a journey to Beemili for shooting the first episode. When Taapsi pulls the Taali which is beach, they are attacked by real ghosts and spirits. How the crew will face and react is the rest of story.
Raghava Lawrence has done great job and his performance is awesome to watch on screen. Tapsi’s performance is admirable. Apart from beauty, her performance is superb. Nithya Menon impressed well. Kovai Sarala is routine. Madhumitha, Sriman and Manobala are okay in their roles.
Since the curtain is raised, it is out and out entertainment. Comedy and horror is superb to watch on the screen. First half of the film is completely entertaining and performances of artistes are admirable even. When it comes to second half, beginning is good but flashback part is bit boring and there is no novelty. However, it is good film to have entertainment for two and half hours.
Lawrence’s directorial skills are good and cinematography is impressive. Dialogues are neat. Music is ultimately and it is the major asset for the film. Production values are rich.
Ganga is good comedy and horror thriller
