Jan Lok Pal Bill got rejected in Delhi Assembly, Arvind Kejriwal resigns

arvind kejriwalHigh Drama took place in the Delhi Assembly as soon as tabling Jan Lok Pal Bill.

New Delhi: Jan Lok Pal Bill which as introduced in the assembly get rejected, which leads to resignation of Delhi Cheif Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

In the voting system there were 27 votes in favor of Lok Pal Bill and 42 voted against it, as a result the Speaker says the Bill is not acceptable to introduce it in the Assembly. Currently the discussion over budget is going on in the Delhi Assembly.

Today Kejriwal stated “I am upset with the events that took place in the assembly for the past two days, we are here to learn, we may be wrong sometimes due to lack of experience, we need to look within us, people are losing faith in politics. I have read the constitution. Nowhere does it say we need Centre’s permission to table bills, both BJP and Congress have united to make sure that we are unable to table Jan Lokpal Bill in the assembly”.

Disappointed Kejriwal resigns by handing over his resignation to LG Najeeb Jung.
