The Supreme court on Wednesday dismissed a plea on India’s most wanted underworld Dawn ‘Dawood Ibrahim’, wanted to return India and face the law but previous governments did not responds to that offer.
Lawyer kishore Samrite had petitioned that he sought a retired Supreme Court Judge to head the SIT.
The petitioner in his petition mentioned that Dawood Ibrahim had two to three times approached to meet people and face the law. But previous government did not tolerate his offer.
While declining the plea, an apex court bench headed by Chief Judge H.L. Dattu said that it was not for the judiciary and did not require Judiciary interference.
Samirite pointed out to the claims by former Delhi police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar and veteran Jurist and Rajya Sabha Member Ram Jethmalani, Saying that Dawood wants to comeback India.
